The connections are basically classified into two types: THE REUSABLE: they are connections that can be recovered and assembled again in a new hose. Traditionally this occurs in moderate pressure applications, where one-piece connections in brass material are used in the low pressure ranges, while in medium and high pressure two-piece connections are used generally in steel. THE PERMANENT: The permanent connections are fastened to the hose by a deformation of the metal through dies and a coupling equipment. These cannot be recovered, in addition to being safer in very high and extreme pressure applications where metal thicknesses are greater and designs are more robust. They are made in one piece and in two pieces, where the type of stamping can be characteristic of a certain brand.
